Steps through a Weathered Home
One of the most important neofolk/apocalyptic albums of last years. Definitely
the best IGR album so far! The more I listen to it the more I like it. It takes
time time to fall in love, but it worth it. Annabel Lee and Michael Moynihan
of BLOOD AXIS are guest musicians on this album. Get it!
PREDELLA AVANT Self-titled
I know nothing about that band. One is for sure their album was released
through Black Rain. PA plays fantastic neoclassical martial music
in vein of PUISSANCE. Great stuff. Sometimes its even better than
modern idols from HR! label. My recommendations!
CYCLTIMIA Wasteland
This is the second full-length album of Russian CYCLOTIMIA. I wasnt
impressed by their debut album, but this one for sure is good choice
for those who like good industrial music. Its more rhythmic than
its older brother. I like it!
WIDERSTAND Compilation
Final compilation from Stateart label. 2 CDs in DVD box plus nice booklet
with info about every participant. Frankly, Im not impressed by
the compilation. My expectations were more optimistic Just remember
Natural Order! Nice track from PROPERGOL, but another one from the
band is total waste of time. PREDOMINANCE isnt as good as Id like
to see. BLOOD CONSPIRACY, side-project of BLOOD AXIS is rather boring
DREAM INTO DUST is OK, but Its definitely not the best compilation
of the year, so think twice before you invest your money in it.
WAPPENBUND Zeitenwende
Im surprised by popularity of the band As for me it is second-hand
mix of SPK and DER BLUTHARSCH One or two bombastic tracks might
be interesting, but the whole thing is boring
BLOOD AXIS & LJDLP Absinthe la folie verte
Finally I got the album The collaboration of two icons of industrial
music sounds exactly like collaboration of BLOOD AXIS and LJDLP.
Just imagine music of LJDLP supported by Michael Moynihans voice.
Intelligent, interesting and charming work! Good, rare and expensive!
You should start saving money right now.

Boring pseudo-rutual music with Russian Lyrics.
Boring pseudo-ritual music with Russian lyrics from Israel. Some ambient/
noise parts are included, but who cares? I can easily find tons of
better bands that play the same kind of shit. Plus, the band comes
from Israel, the country of criminals who kill Palestinian children.
Avoid
COPH NIA Shapechifter
The second full-length CD from this band. Nice. The music is fine,
may be its not as fresh as the debut album used to be, but its
more professional and and its more COPH NIA-ish. If you like the
previous albums from the band you will enjoy and this one. Good stuff
for week or two, but definitely not a revelation of the year.
ORDO ROSARIUS EQUILIBRIO Cocktails, Carnage, Crucifixion and Pornography
Finally! The new CD of ORE is as good as the new CD could ORE. It continues
the direction of previous albums, so it has the same positive/negative
points. Some songs are good, some are boring. To me the album has
too many loops of Soviet anthem and too many porno-sounds
FIRST LAW Velochrome
Great! If you dont have much money to spend on records then you should
keep in mind that FIRST LAW is the band you must discover among first.
Amazing atmospheres, noisy parts mixed with fantastic ritual/ rhythmic
moments. Recommended.
DIES NATALIS Vom Gedanken Und Der Erinnerung
German neofolk at its best. May be you find music of DN a bit too
simple and naive, but still its fresh and promising. The Cd is in
my Cd player for the third week already and Im pretty sure it will
be there for a couple of weeks more. The music of reminds me a
mix of Ostara and Orplid. Recommended.
DIES NATALIS Abyss
The EP differs from the debut album a lot. Its not as bombastic and
aggressive, but at the same time its more intelligent and atmospheric.
Absolutely recommended!
ALVA NOTO & RYUICHI SAKAMOTO vrioon
If you are looking for lullaby, than you have found it! Simple minimalistic
melodies on piano are mixed with electronic sounds and in the end
we get sleepy and atmospheric ambient music. Recommended.
A CHALLENGE OF HONOUR Wilhelm Gustloff
Do not miss the record! A mix of Puissance, ISN and movie-soundtracks.
The CD tells us story of German ship Wilhelm Gustloff. It was destroyed
by Soviet submarine of Marinesku. 7000-9000 people died in Baltic
Sea kids, women and elite crews of brand new German submarines among
them. Marinesku became Hitlers personal enemy, he-he. Well, the
CD is like a soundtrack for that tragedy and you must discover it
for yourself!
